Peer Review Process
Scriptum Pharmacologia follows a structured, multi-tiered internal peer review process to ensure scientific rigor, transparency, and editorial integrity in all published work. All submissions—including original research, reviews, case reports, and commentaries—undergo critical evaluation by qualified pharmacists with academic and clinical expertise.

Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by WritePharma’s dedicated peer review team. This initial stage involves structured evaluation using a standardized review template, developed in accordance with industry norms and loosely based on the peer review rubric provided by SUNY Geneseo. Reviewers assess scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, originality, and methodological quality. Review scores and reviewer comments are electronically documented and maintained indefinitely as part of our publication archive.

Following successful peer review, manuscripts proceed to a two-step editorial review. First, all accepted submissions are reviewed by Scriptum Pharmacologia's ex officio members, who serve in an oversight capacity to ensure consistency with the journal’s mission and ethical standards. Subsequently, the Editorial Committee conducts a content-focused review, providing discipline-specific insights, refining clarity, and confirming the relevance and accuracy of the submission.

Before final publication, the Editor-in-Chief conducts a comprehensive review of the issue as a whole. This includes verification of editorial changes, formatting standards, and overall completeness of the journal edition.

All peer review activities are documented and managed electronically. Metadata for each article—including author information, titles, DOIs, and article history—is processed and maintained through CrossRef, ensuring permanent citation, version control, and discoverability in accordance with scholarly publishing best practices.

Scriptum Pharmacologia adheres to the principles of transparency and accountability throughout its editorial workflow, maintaining internal records of all review activities and upholding the confidentiality and integrity of the review process.
